You became an officiant or coach because you have a big beautiful heart that inspires others. You love sharing the power of ritual and inner work for potent moments in people’s lives.

But, damn, running a business is hard and exhausting. If only you could focus all your energy on the meaningful and creative stuff! The good news is that your business can become very manageable and reliable; maybe not “easy,” but with good practices in place it can take much less energy to manage.

Ensuring your clients have an amazing experience from first contact is key to creating a lasting impact on their lives, and being able to charge a profitable fee. Many are not even charging a sustainable fee for this kind of work.

I can help you get your business to the next level but ensuring it’s aligned with your purpose + gifts and speaks to people ready to pay for transformation.

Process

♦ Submit a primary goal and related goals/questions beforehand.

♦ We schedule a 90 minute Zoom to dig deep and set a new course.

– You’ll have the recording to refer back to.

– You’ll receive my summary (people report this is a favorite part! a form of narrative therapy), including questions to continue working with and a list of resources.

♦ Two weeks of video messaging support via the app Marco Polo. Send me your follow up questions + road blocks or request a pep talk!

♦ After the two weeks we have a 60 minute call to recap the process so far and lay out next steps.

You’ll have the recording.

– You’ll receive my summary.

Areas of business growth could include

– Understanding the fee you need to charge, financially

– Exploring mental and emotional blocks to charging the fee you need to charge (and being ok to be the most expensive officiant in your market, if you’re offering an amazing experience)

– Building relationships with other key wedding vendors in your local wedding market

– Streamlining your creative process, workflow, and offering

– Deciding where you put your marketing energy (evaluating options like paid listings, newsletters, social media, blogging, networking events, etc. HINT: you can’t do them all!)

– Managing your event calendar

Areas of growth for the client experience could include

– How to access and tell the deeper story of your couples’ lives and partnership

– How to initiate and close an intimate, trusting relationship with your clients

– Addressing difficult and even unresolved issues with your clients, and in your ceremonies

– Creating a ceremony that has a lasting impact on your couples and their families

– Understanding how the tiniest logistic and communication with your couple, their families, and other wedding vendors contribute to creating potent sacred space

– Adapting ritual to fit clients’ values and creating ritual from scratch

– Exploring clients’ spiritual heritage (even if they dismiss it at first)

– Healthy and mutually beneficial boundaries with clients

– Understanding the engaged couple’s experience (before becoming an officiant, I was a wedding photographer for 15 years so I understand the wedding industry and wedding day from multiple angles)

– And much more! Feel free to message me if you wonder if I might be the right guide for your question or growth at this time.

It’s taken time, trial and error, and years of effort but I have achieved my goal of being a full time wedding officiant + spiritual coach. My days are filled with incredibly meaningful work and my income provides for my family. I’m happy to be your guide and save you many years of trial and error!
